WantLoom

How to check price changes on your saved products

You liked the product last week. Today you want to know whether its price has changed. Save it once, then return to the same find for a fresh check when you need it.

Keep a price to come back to

When WantLoom reads a product page, it can save the price and currency with the shop link. That gives you a reference for the next time you consider buying, alongside the product photo and name.

Price tracking in WantLoom works through manual checks. It does not continuously monitor shops in the background or send automatic price-drop alerts. You choose when to request another reading.

Run a fresh price check

You can do this from a saved product on your phone or computer:

  1. Save the product link and review the price and currency WantLoom reads from the shop.
  2. Later, open the product from your Finds page and select “Check price”.
  3. Wait for the result. If the shop can be read, WantLoom updates the details and shows whether the price went up, went down or stayed the same.
  4. Review the price history, then choose “Open in shop” to confirm the current offer and buy from the seller if it suits you.

Read the history as recorded checks

The price history shows recorded changes for your saved product. It cannot show every price the shop offered between checks, or reconstruct prices from before you saved the item. If there has not been a recorded price change yet, there may be no graph to show.

For example, imagine you saved a lamp at €89 and a later successful check reads €76. That is a €13 decrease between those readings. It does not establish that €76 is the lowest price the lamp has ever had, or the cheapest offer across shops.

Check the details before deciding

A shop may show different prices for sizes, colors, membership offers or regions. Delivery costs and checkout discounts can also change the total you pay. Compare the same variant and currency, and use the shop’s final offer for your buying decision.

Some pages cannot be read reliably. If a check fails or the price is unclear, an older saved price is not proof of the current offer. Open the shop directly. You can also return later and try another manual check.

A few useful answers

Will WantLoom notify me when a price drops?

Not currently. Checks are started by you, and there are no automatic price-drop alerts. Open the saved product whenever you want to check again.

Does WantLoom find the lowest price across all shops?

No. A check reads the shop page attached to that saved product. You can save alternatives from other shops yourself, but WantLoom does not guarantee a market-wide lowest price.

Why might the price differ from the shop?

The saved price may be from an earlier check, or the shop may use variant-specific prices, discounts or access restrictions. Reading can also fail. Confirm the price and availability on the shop’s page before paying.
